It can be confusing when it comes to buying your first waxpen as there are many options, and each option is very different from each other. In this post we wanted to provide the simplest guide to getting your very first waxpen.
The best waxpen for the absolute beginner:
Yocan Evolve Plus
The Yocan Evolve Plus is for those who want to start vaping today. There is no setup, simply load the pen and start smoking. This is a recommended vape over a hype pen simply because it’s cheaper than one. Yes the battery might die, or the atomizer may stop working but replacements are cheap. It’s also a 510 threaded atomizer, so you can use it on a vape mod if you have one. Avoid the Yocan Evolve XL at all costs – terrible atomizer design.
Alternatives:
- Any hype pen (they work out the box)
- EZ Sai kit
- Source 10cig (it’s $10)
The best 510 threaded waxpen atomizer for beginners:
The Saionara
The Sai is simply the best way to get started if you’re new to waxpens and want to get right into it. We have a pretty extensive guide on the Sai, so check it out there.
The Sai is great due to its large variety of atomizers, good price and durable design. For someone getting started, the Top Airflow, with the Titanium bucket is great but can be frustrating. The bucket can break the atomizer if not set up correctly but once set up it’ll work consistently for a very long time. It may be wise to purchase a few extra atomizers and some different coils just to see what works best.
Remember, you’ll need to buy a battery mod and learn a bit about how vapes work with the Sai. You’ll get it working in the first day but it may take some time to get it to your liking, be patient.
As for alternatives to the Sai, there’s plenty but none of them are really as simple as the Saionara.
Why are you only recommending two devices?
This post is intended for someone who is completely new to waxpens and wants an easy solution to what we consider the best beginner devices available. We’ve provided a few alternatives for the “load and go” devices but for the 510 atomizer, the Sai has the most options and support available.
Hopefully this guide provides you with the insight needed to choose your first wax pen.
